Is a Niche Social Network Worth Your Time?

Marketing over social media, like most online endeavors, is less a monetary investment, and more an investment of time and effort. It takes work to keep up with Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, or however many other social networks you belong to, and keeping those conversations going strong is the key to making the effort worth it. So when you run across a new smaller, niche social network that seems like it could be promising for your business, it can be difficult to decide what to do. Do you really have time to be taking on another set of social media responsibilities? On the other hand, could a social network more tailored to your specific audience be exactly the boost your strategy needs?
The key, of course, is to run some experiments that can be judged on the basis of ROI. You never want to shoot any new idea down simply on the basis that it would take up too much time; after all, it could end up being an either/or situation where the new idea turns out to be more profitable than the things you were already doing.
For example, let's say you're getting a really good return on your efforts on Facebook, but your Twitter presence is struggling due to more of your audience preferring Facebook for social media interaction. Nonetheless, you spend time keeping your Twitter account active simply because you feel you should, because "everyone" is on Twitter and you don't want to be behind the times.
Now, let's say you discover a smaller, less-populated social network that is geared toward people in your target demographic. Should you give up some of your Twitter maintenance time to pursue interaction on this smaller social network? Initially you might be hesitant, but if your Twitter presence (for example) is not performing all that well anyway, it doesn't hurt to give a new social network a try, to see if maybe, despite lower user numbers on the network overall, you manage to get a higher number of active followers for the amount of time you're putting in.
In other words, don't automatically assume that a smaller social network equals smaller returns. Some smaller communities are quite active and responsive, whereas your message may get drowned out with the giants like Twitter and Facebook. Don't be afraid to spend less time on some more well-known social networks and adopt lesser-known ones if that's what your metrics tell you to do - your audience is where it is, and if that happens to be in a remote corner of the internet, then that's where you should be, too. Do you belong to any niche social networks that have given you a boost in numbers?

Niche Social Networks - How to Use Them to Build Your Business

For a wide variety of professional services, joining a niche social network for your industry is a great way to learn from others, share your expertise, and create opportunities for referrals online.

If you are in trade, retail or some professional service categories, getting listed in an online directory can also get you more exposure online. Directory sites where customers can post or rate their experiences with service providers give you a great opportunity to build an online reputation and get online referrals.
Do:
Fill in your profile completely. Add the photo, list your full range of services. Add as much information as you can. An incomplete listing makes you look unprofessional and disinterested in attracting new business. Visitors will always be drawn to the most interesting and comprehensive listings not anonymous silhouettes with only a name and a phone number.
Participate. Frequently. Share your questions. Answer other peoples questions, and be a valuable resource. The same "Givers Gain" principles apply here. Frequent participation creates relationships in the same way as BNI or any other in person networking group..
Don't:
Overextend your activities. Sign up for a few, rather than all the opportunities you see for your industry. Pick the most active site and start there. Its much, much better to be a frequent contributor on one or two sites, than join them all and barely participate.
Flog Your Services. Social networks are online communities. The same rules of in-person networking applies here. Don't stand up in the online room and drone on about why people should buy from you. Demonstrate the value of your services through your interactions and knowledge.
If you pick the right one or two sites, and work them consistently, you will quickly see some results on your efforts. Overtime you will build a reputation and the leads will start to follow.

Niche Websites Need Niche Blogging

Niche Blogging is now available but it’s a little bit different than you expect and you really need to be sure that you have the right type of niche website, which this article will discuss.
This is a definition of niche blogging taken from wikipedia.
Niche blogging is the act of creating a blog with the intent of using it to market to a particular niche market. While it could be argued that every blog is, in some form, a niche blog, the term as it applies to marketing refers to a particular kind of blog.
Neither blogging nor niche marketing is a new concept. However, only in recent years has the concept of a niche blog come into being.
Usually, niche blogs will contain advertisements of some sort (pay-per-click or products or both). In some cases, the purpose of the niche blog is to incite the reader into visiting another website which may then attempt to sell the reader a product or service.
Niche blogs are sometimes referred to as splogs, but this is a misnomer. Even though the desired end result for the niche blogger is to make money, the niche blog itself often contains valuable information. Most pay-per-click advertising is content-sensitive, so it is vital to the niche blogger to have useful content that is related to the chosen niche…Read More At>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niche_blogging
NICHE WEBSITES
It’s vital the your content match your domain, and your content.  It is easier to sell a product or service if your whole website is devoted to that niche.  Adding content with blog curation service, is a great way to add value to your website.
Niche websites are sites that are built based on a specific group of potential customers who have similar interest in that Niche market. They are having a problem and need a solution. It is called target market .
“How To” niche sites that make money are one of the easiest ways to make money on the internet. This kind of Niche site specializes in answering questions that the audience is searching for.   It provides tips, advisories , methods, etc,…
Niche websites allow you to make money online without spending money on advertising. In fact, you don not need to pay for CPC campaign, just do the marketing to build strong back links, which helps build branding .  With niche marketing, you can build a content based website to promote affiliate products or your own products.
You can build a micro site and promote just one product.  You can find thousands of products to promote in virtually unlimited niche topics. Each niche brings different potential earnings, so we should choose products that target for special interests.
So How do you build a profitable Niche websites ?
Anyone can achieve this goal: Build a network of small niche sites.  You can monetize with AdSense and affiliate products. It is not a new money making model but has been tried and tested and brings good results for many Affiliate Marketers.
Here are the steps you can take:
  1. Firstly, choose a main keyword with at least 100 searches per month in the niche.
  2. Use a wordpress blogging platform to build niche websites. There is no need to know about HTML programming or anything about coding.
  3. Install plugins to make the site more useful for product advertising like,  All in one SEO pack, Google XML sitemap, Askimet anti Spam , Pretty Links (shorten Affiliate links using your own domain name
  4. Use Adsence & Affiliate rotating ads banner plugin (Adsence and affiliate marketing wordpress ads rotate plugin)
Content Marketing
Use Niche Blogging, to create related content to the niche.   Include no more than 800 words.  Using blog curation, you can create completely original high quality content to get higher ranking on search engines.  Avoid using websites that just duplicate content.
This content should have good onpage SEO optimization but also real value added for target readers.  Do not use keywords only to try and get better ranking on Google.
If you do not know SEO, you should out source both content creation and SEO together.
Make sure that you also have these pages on your website:
  • An About page,
  • Contact page
  • Privacy Policy page
The About and Contact pages are simple short description pages which introduce your niche site’s content, how they can benefit from the content you  provide on the niche site.
The Privacy Policy page should be based upon adsence guideline .
Monetize the Niche Website
Most of my sites are monetized with AdSense and I am currently using very simple wordpress templates as they are friendly and brings good income performence ClickBank also offers many different products. In fact, you can find thousands of products on their marketplace. The trick is to look for the best-selling products. Those are the products you will want to promote as an affiliate.
You can earn up to 75% per sale. And One important factor is that you should choose products that you have enough knowledge about it, you can send an email to the vendor for a free trial or buy products from them and refund if you do not want to promote it .
Get traffic to the Niche site
This is a long term strategy.  Use common sense.  If you suddenly get a lot of back links for a site, that will look very suspicious to Google.  Gradually submit to Article directories, Forum discussion groups and  Social networks,…
Some useful traffic generation methods that really works:
  • are blog commenting,
  • Find related blogs in your niche and leave comments
  • Do not spam, please
  • Article submission
  •  Write unique article about your niche
  • Submit to top directories such as: ezinearticles, articlebase,…
The more content and traffic you get, the more income you receive from the Niche site . Take action every single day. The real secret to online success is to take action. The only way for you to make money online and do it from your home is to take action on what you have learned. You will never be given a handout. It’s up to you to create the success you deserve…Read More At:>>http://www.moneymakergroup.com/Build-Niche-Website-Mo-t422418.html
There are many things that you need to do!  The biggest mistake newbies make, is trying to do it all themselves!  Do not make this classic mistake.  Use your time wisely by doing what you enjoy!  Blogging is not something that I personally enjoy doing!  You need to create 10 blog posts per day to really ramp up traffic, so use a Blog Curation Service!   You can find great wordpress themes here>>http://www.mojo-themes.com/?r=mydailyservices
